Enclose size for xr 650s

okay while i was ordering things for my friend i accidently ordered him xr650s instead of 525s so im giong to buy them fomr him cause i feel bad. i want to make a custom part of my door pannel to mount them in, should i just have a mdf mounting ring and leave the back open or should i have it in a sealed enclosure and if so what size? obvisouly i dont have too much room but how much room can a 6.5 speak want?

It's optimized for infinite baffle. Make an MDF ring, deaden and seal the doors as best you can, and go with that.

i have the XR 3 ways, and thats all i did was make a MDF ring and shaved part of the inside of the door panel for clearance. whole door is dynamated, sounds good.

hows the midbass brandon? thats what im looking for. i have no doubts on the XR clearity and crispness (atleast for my taste) just i know my VRs lacked the midbass so i wanted to gain as much as possible. thanks guys for the help. i'll do the infinity baffle, sounds good cause thats easier lol.
