Does anyone know anything about this sub? Just by reading the specs they sound like monsters, but i'm no expert or anything. Any opinions?

never heard a hifonics sub b4. But do u realize how much power and money it would take to power one of those, and i bet u could find a setup much cheap and much louder.

Yea, I always find it funny, people see these huge RMS ratings, buy the sub, then run it to a 600W max Sony amp, crank the gain, then wonder a few days later what that burning smell is...Smells like aluminum!

Yeah, I wasn't gonna buy them, I was just wondering if people had any opinons on them. I too have never heard of Hifonics having a sub. I just happened to run across it.

Yea, they've got a "Solobaric" line as well. By that I mean, they too offer square subs...(morons).

That's what I'm thinking...

The 179dB record was made a while back by American Bass's VFL series woofers. But that record has since been broken by the Pioneer Premier SPL woofers.
