8 ohm sub and 4 ohm amp

i didnt realize the sub i bought was 8 ohm. the amp i have is 4 ohm, or bridge to 2 ohm. can i safely hook up the 8 ohm sub??

sub = 10" jl audio w1v2
amp = mtx 421d

That sub is 150WRMS 4 Ohms dude
amp is also 150WRMS 4 Ohms dude

thats what i thought...

it turns out the sub is also offered in an 8 ohm. this is the one i accidently bought. my question is will it work?

gert rid of the sub, with that set up your going to only send 75w to the sub,

or buy another sub and wire them in parallel to get down to 4 ohms.
