according to janathan they are quite impressive in output in a SPL enclosure.

for str8 spl...not really...go with kicker L5, L7 or splurge for 1 RE SX 15 or 18 and that amp is perfect for teh SX

re sx with the 1000/1 if you want spl. also the 1000/1 is to much power for 2 w3'w a 500/1 would work well.

I forgot that they stepped up the 15 from 300 to 500 I ws going by the 12's specs.

if you want straight SPL order a 15" (or 18) RE MT. IT can handle more than the 1000/1 but it will be louder with the 1000w than the SX would be.

I'd take a DD9917 for SPL (or multiple ones). They aren't cheap, though.
