I recently bought the Orion D5000 thats slapped with the west coast customs label. I was wondering what people have heard about this amp. THe pro's con's that sort of thing. It will be powering two 2005 Kicker 15L7's. the rms for each sub is 1000w and the rms of the amp is 2000w so it matches up smoothly. Also I am running a stock battery and alternator, but i do have a 12 farad capacitor, so you think that I can wait till tax returns before upgrading these without being to risky?

if have not hooked up anything, as soon as u do ur going to find out fast that ur going to need a HO alternator, a capacitor is only going to strain ur stock electrical system even more. I would not recommend hooking it up for daily driving, u will kill ur alternator in less then an hour

within an hour??? I won't be using it at full capacity. probably try to get the subs at around 500w rms apiece while I'm breakign it in and saving for battery& alternator...what alternators do you recomend? I drive a 98 lumina v-6 3.1L. Iraggi alternators say they fit up to a 96 lumina, but i have yet to find one that specifically says a 98
