I bought a cassette adaptor to play my Archos jukebox in the car,but my Sony head unit spits it out after 20 seconds or do,any ideas???

I'm having the same problem with the cassette adaptor in my stock Hyundai unit, only it spits it out a lot quicker than that!
In researching this on the net, I read that many newer cassette players have a sensor to recognize bad/broken tapes. Although the forum I read didn't specifically say so, apparently,a cassette adaptor is read as a bad tape (probably because there is no actual "tape" going across the head in the cassette shell?)
I'd also like to know if there is a way to fool the sensor or if not, can anyone give me info on connecting my portable CD player to the stock unit? (Car is a 2001 Hyundai Sonata.)
