Hi,

I found this site today while looking for an answer to my problem. I have p7500mp with one broken tab on the face plate that connects it to the unit. I use velcro to hold the face while playing. So, I'm driving down the road sometimes it will just stop playing music when I hit a bump or something but the power is always still on with CD disk indicator playing like no problem if I was listen to the CD. I'm not sure exactly when it started this about two weeks now. Sometimes it will start playing when I hit another bump something or after I stop and get back in at a later time. This happens quite often say three four time a week. It is no longer under warrenty so I would take it apart and try to repair it myself before just sending it back without looking for myself. Any suggestions would help.

Thanks

You're sure it isn't the faceplate detaching briefly?

Jexx,

After it stops playing I have pulled over to adjust the plate pushing it closer to the unit, smack it, shake it then curse at it. When it wants to play it does when it don't it won't.

I would say there's a loose solder connection in the unit.

Yes,

A speaker wire had exposure to the wire to bare metal. Thanks for the clue.
