How many watts?

I have a 95 mustang v6. I was wondering how big of an amp i could run without having to change anyhting like the alternator. I was looking into a Hifonics BX2005D. Is that a good amp?

hook the amp up see if you have any dimming in your lights, if so i would buy a capacitor, if that fixes the dimming then it was just a problem with your battery, if it still dims then you need a new alternator.

If the cap stops the lights from dimming, that DOES NOT mean the alternator is okay. It can still easily be ruined and you may not be getting the proper current to your amp.

Check Glasswolf's site for further info regarding caps and such.
