Well...I'm looking to upgrade my JL 10W0, and I'm running a RF 500s (500wRMS @ 4 ohms). I'm looking to have a moderately sized sealed enclosure ('97 Dodge Neon trunk) and would like to know which would be the better sub SQ & SPL-wise. Thanks!

Alpine Type-R (2x2ohm DVC SWR-1022D):
Power Handling Capacity (RMS) : 500W
Power Handling Capacity (Peak) : 1500W
Frequency Response: 26Hz -- 500Hz
Sensitivity: 85dB
xmax: 13.35mm

Infinity 10VQ (1x4ohm SVC 10VQ):
Power Handling, RMS: 400W
Power Handling, Peak: 1600W
Frequency Response: 25Hz - 400Hz
Sensitivity: 87dB
xmax: 16.75mm

Just from specs alone I'm leaning towards the 10VQ. I have found both companies to have quality products (I have dealt with them both in the past) and I think I'd be happy with either, just looking for the better of the two. Hmm....

Well...looks like I'm getting the 10VQ. Hopefully this whole "variable Q" thing will prove to be worth it.
