Vented 1.5 CbFt Box Question.

Andrew New member Username: Andrew571 Post Number: 1 Registered: Oct-05	Posted on Tuesday, October 04, 2005 - 02:06 GMT Okay this is my first time at building a box so don't laugh at my question This is what I have Kenwood KFC-W3009 Specs: Sensitivity: 93 dB RMS Power Range : 35-400 Watts Peak Power Handling: 800 Watts Impedance: 4 Ohm High Frequency Response: 800 Hz Diameter: 12 Inch My question is when building your own ported box, When you know how many cubic feet you need...where does the port fit in the equation... Here is a drawing i did to help explain what I am confused about. *notice hightlighted port in left pic meaning the 1.5 CbFt does NOT include the vent. [img]http://img390.imageshack.us/img390/2483/port2cz.th.jpg[/img] When someone says the volume of a ported box is X.XX CbFt. Does this mean the value includes the port or excludes the port?
