I'm not gonna buy it but saw it on the net & was wondering something - How come this amp is soo powerful (2500 wrms @ 1ohm ,heck the other model goes into 2500 wrms 1/2 ohm !) & its dimentions are only (LxWxH) - 13.375 x 11.5 x 2.125 ?

From what experieced installers tell me MMATS amps are true power & even underrated .

Similiar RF amps are almost 3ft long , while others like PPI , Kicker , Orion etc are almost 30" long & here comes MMATS with something less than 1/2 that lenght .

BTW - would you rank them higher than JL , US or Zapco & some of the other top of the line big $ amps ?

maybe on par.. mmats makes nice stuff. as for the footprint, its a class D amp so it's not going to get incredibly hot.. so cooling surface area isn't as vital.
the casing has to be big enough to house the board and internals really.. that's about it.

you'rea also talking about an amp that delivers that power at a very low impedance, so you'll need a bigger power supply in it, but the rest of the amp isn't that different from a smaller amp.
sort of like the orion HCCA amps.. small cases, high current draw at low loads.

Simply amazing that they can do that with such a small casing - the old saying holds true here 'good things come in small packages' lol
