Head unit power problem

ok heres the deal i have a jvc 160 watt headunit with a 12 cd changer going to a sony explode 760 watt amp,to two 12 inch 900 watt max sony explodes in a box..everything works well till i turn up the base..then when the subs start to thump the lights in the head unit go dim on the beats and on a real heavy thump it will shut off completely for a sec then come back on.
any one have any idea wat i can do to fix this?,any suggestion could help

It sounds like the power output isn't sufficient to power your system...in order to solve the problem an alternator with a higher amperage output needs to be installed.

a yellow top optima battery also may help with the alterator

do u think maybe a capacitor would fix the problem instead of the bigger altinator? or that wopuldnt make a difference?

Nah, it'll only damage your system. Capacitors will hardly make up for a five amp difference and even then they still aren't good for your alternator.
