I just got in 4 6.5" pioneer 3 ways and tried to swap out my factory 6.5" speakers. First off, there is this bracket on the factory speakers that extends it so the pioneer's I have don't exactly fit it. That bracket is permanently on those factory speakers. Second off, the ways to connect the speakers are 2 totally seperate ways. I am not an expert on installing this stuff so I might just take it to the local audio store, they will do it for like $40 a pair. Any suggestions? Thanks!
are your factory speakers connected with some sort of plug..if so just cut the plug off and wire the speakers the normal way because thats what i had to do in my Galant..also i had the same problem with the brackets my aftermarket speakers seemed too small without the bracket...what i just did was i had to use 2 screws instead of 4 because theirs a gap left but it doesnt matter because 2 screws should be able to hold the speaker
