Gold Member Username: HdubbFarmington, Nm Usa Post Number: 1643 Registered: Nov-04 | im not sure the new Rs have a 500rms rating so it would have to be a pretty big amp or 2 500w ones. 2 mrp501 would work not too sure if they sell them at best buy, or 2 power acoustik 980/2 kinda like that amp. put it through hel.l. if you could special order the 1001 v12 amp that would be awesome but i dont know your budget(exspensive amp)and i do think it will sound pretty good. just dont buy any qlogic box build your own, you will be happier and you will save money |

Post Number: 28 Registered: May-05 | I had 2 FUBR 10's... and trust me, you don't want these subs if you plan on giving them alot of $hit. I hooked up one to my 900w mono amp - and blew it big time!!! Then, I lowered the input level on the amp considerably and hooked up the other one - and the tinsel lead tore on the sub after about 2 weeks. I'm currently in the process of hooking up an IDMAX10v.3D2 (wish me luck - I'll let you guys know) |

xdrummer03 Unregistered guest | 2 Type R's are better than one Power Acoustic. Better sound quality as well as the Type R's sound better. Also best setup for 2 Type R's is 2 of the MRD-605's. |

xdrummer03 Unregistered guest | That would be the best way if you want a 2 amp setup and all Alpine. Kenwood if you know how to bridge the 2 Type R's. If you want the easiest hook up just running left channel to one sub and right channel to one sub get the p8002. |

Silver Member Username: AraknidBOCA , FL U.S. Post Number: 649 Registered: Nov-04 | yeah that would work. make sure the amp puts out 1000 watts at 4 ohms Then buy the 2 type R's with the DVC 2+2 layout. hook each subs voice coils in series and then hook up each sub to its own channel. It would be easier to have SVC 4 ohm but I dont remember if any of them come like that. |
