For the past week I cant decide wether I want an Avalanche 15" or 18". Of course I want the 18" but I only have a trunk to put it in so I would have to go sealed for the 18" and I could go ported for the 15". What would be better (spl and sq)? I'll probably use a Hifonics BX1000D amp.

either way they would both be incredible.... It really depends if you want SQ or more towards SPL.

Yup, I'd prob go with the 18, and go sealed... with the 18's surface area it should make up for the 15's ported box I'd think.

Sealed ussually sounds better and uses less space. Ported ussually sounds worse but is louder.

THE 18" IN A SEALED BOX WILL GIVE IT MORE BASS AND CLEAN SOUND THAN THE 15".ID GO WITH THE 18".
