Im still thinking about what brand to get, but i know that i am getting 2 12s for my trunk. A few of my friends have told me to get a mono amp because i plan on just using the amp for my bass, but others have told me to get a two channel amp becuase i am going to have 2 subs. Which is correct?
Mono, you don't want the subs running in stereo, since they may contradict each other. You can get a 2 chanel and bridge it, but you do not want to run it in stereo.
