No, PPI only supports 4ohms bridged, 2ohms stereo.

O that might be a problem since i have a 2ohm load. Or do you think that i could wire each of my subs to each channel? My subs are single voice coil, 4ohm, and 250 watts. I only have to so...Plus the amp says it is 150 watts times two at 4 ohm. but, 300 at 2ohm times two. What do u think?

You can connect each sub to separate channel for 4ohm operation.
That amp will show it's true potential in powering component speakers.

So it will power them well? Because it seems like too many watts for components.

I have powered many different subwoofer systems with the a600. It is not tested at 12 volts either it is a regulated power supply it puts out the same amount of power at 11 volts as it does at 14.4 volts. It is a great amp I have one currently in retirement awaiting its next project which is going to be a nice set of components:-)

"PPI only supports 4ohms bridged, 2ohms stereo."

Does this mean if I bought a PPI for a set of 4ohm component speakers, it wouldn't support them?

no it supports 4ohms stereo as well as 8ohms bridged as well. 8ohms bridged = 4ohms stereo, 4ohms bridged = 2ohms stereo. as far as output goes.

How good would a '93(vintage-almost) PPI art series sound when compared to today's amps? And would the gain possibly match my 4v ouput on my headunit?

I ran mine off of my 4volt output for two years no problems whatsoever. Well it all depends on what you compare it to, the a600 you are looking at from 93 was the first series with a different power supply then the a600.2 but makes no difference it is an incredible amp and would match up acoustically against any amp you could throw at it.

So...a good investment? I am thinking when i upgrade my subs i would use ppi 600.2 for two pairs os infinity perfect components. But first of all i need to know if this amp will power my subs well.
