My buddy just got 3 earthquake subzero 12's in the craziest custom box i have ever seen. the subs are all three facing the back seats in a Ford F-250 the box is awesome, amps mounted ontop, the most custom thing ive ever seen in person. OK my question is are these subs good in SPL/SQ, they say that they got 4 inches of excursion. Just never seen anyone use earthquake.

Well i guarantee you the earthquake will not have 4 inches of excursion, ar least not linear excursion anyway. Other than that, they will perform fine. (I love it when companies fudge a little on their excursion specs)The only way to tell the true linear excursion of a sub is to have it dumax verified. Most companies will post the xmax of their subs and they adhere to the dumax standard. But when a sub is advertised as having x amount of excursion, that does not mean it's xmax capabilities. That is why it stated as excursion and not xmax.
