Fiberglass mat and resin...sub

I was told lining the inside of the box with fiberglass mat and resin would help sq. is this true? what are your thoughts? thanks again.

i think that is only to make sure its complete air tight

damn. is there anythign liek that, besides polyfill, that i can do to improve the sound quality, or loudness. thanks for the help man.

Bracing helps due to the added rigidity of the enclosure. Fiberglass is used for both sealing the enclosure and also adding strength, especially in the corners. You could add sound deadening to the walls of the enclosure if you'd like, in addition to polyfill. You could also go aperiodic or infinite baffle :-)

aperiodic? you will have to explain this a tad more, i'm sure what you are saying. if im going to build my box, i want to do it right. make it sound nice, sq wise. thanks again

Here are some links describing aperiodic. Only works on cars with trunks unless you're into cutting holes in a car.

You are using a resistive membrane to control cone motion, as opposed to an enclosure, your sub doesn't sound "boxed". Control is excellent, transient response is excellent, SQ is top notch, above sealed, ported, and so on due to the flattening of the resonance of the sub.
