hey fellas, I just got a 'Vet and am putting this new system in almost certainly unless anyone can tell me something I don't about these particular products. I have never used Panasonic head units or Diamond Audio and I hear that that 1000/1 would be a great compliment to that 9500...please advise...

Panasonic-CQVD7001U 7" DVD w/ touchscreen
Diamond Audio HEX S600s 2wy components(front) (no rear f that!)
Rockford Fosgate Punch 501.2 (for mids/highs)
MTX 9500 12" 4ohm with custom box for hatchback
JL Audio 1000/1 @ 4ohm (sub)

Panasonics head units tend to be unreliable. As far as the technology used they're up to date, but the units have a higher failure rate than that from the likes of Alpine, Eclipse, Pioneer Premier, and so forth.

Diamond HEX components are great, just listen to many sets and make sure those are the ones you like the sound of most.

RF are good amps, not super high end, but good, solid amps.

JLs amps are great, the 1000/1 is a great Class D sub amp.

MTX makes good stuff, I'm not a huge fan of their subs for daily driving, but the 9500 isn't bad. I'd look into others in the price range such as an ID Max, W6v2, Eclipse Ti (online), Resonant Engineering X.X.X., Adire Audio Brahma, and others along with the sub you're looking at, then see what you like best.
