4ohms vs. 2ohms

well my amp is a 2 channel 1000 watt amp and it says i can bridge it at 4 ohms for 750X1 what would happen if i wired it to 2 ohms

nah, I wouldn't blow up it would protect itself. It might play a little but eventually it would protect. Then you would have to reboot the amp for it to come back on and it'll probably just protect again. If you make that'll habit then you end up messing up the amp.

If the amp is not 2ohms stable and you use it at that load, it will most likely overheat and go into some kind of protection mode. Depending on how well the amp was designed, it will reset itself once it cools down, or just break down. I've seen amps with all kinds of protections built in and still fail.

well it says that each channel sepaerate can be ran at 2 ohms but when you bridge it is doesnt say anything about 2 only 4
