Newbie needs help...

I just got two 15" kicker cvr dual 4ohm voice coil subs for my 16th birthday and i know anything about ohms and wiring. i was about to buy the kx1200.1 but my friend said i couldent wire the 4ohm subs to that amp. can someone help me out with this and tell me the best way to wire these subs and which type of amp i need?

Check wat ohm the kx1200.1 is stable to..
If i remember right , its stable down to 1ohm.
So u gotta get ur subs to wire down to dat, and with 2 4ohm DVC u can get either 1 or 4 ohms.

KX1200.1 is stable to 1 ohm.
1200 watts x 1 @ 1 ohm
600 watts x 1 @ 2 ohms

wire both subs with coils in parallel.
wire both subs in parallel to the KX1200.1
you'll give each sub a full 600+ watts RMS.
it's a great combination.
Your friend was mistaken, and probably assumed the KX1200.1 was only stable to 2 ohms, as is the case with most amplifiers.
