Difference between Deh p7700 and Deh p860MP?

I don't see any real discernable diference except one has a better OEL screen. Why is the 860MP like $100 more the P7700?

I think the key difference between the two is the fact that the 860MP has a 24 bit Burr-Brown D/A converter. Also, it steps up to 4v preouts as opposed to the 2.2v on the P7700.

actually, the 860 has 6.5V preouts.

Odd...the Pioneer website says 6.5v but Crutchfield says 4v.

What do DAC's do? DAC means digital to analog convertor right? Would it be better to have a deck with just analog?

You are probably confusing the Premier model with the normal. The normal models have 4V, the premier decks have 6.5V.
