what is the differance from slot ported?

aperiodic is very accurate, helps control 2nd and 3rd order harmonics, and incrases mechanical power handling for the drivers. requires a trunk with separate air space from the cabin.

what does it increase sq/spl?

-3dB down from sealed. pure SQ. not at all recommended for SPL.

any links to a site with how to make one?

I use an AP box with two 12" RE trple X subs in my car. fantastic detail, but if I wanted loud, I'd go another route. The only reason the box is as loud as it is now is due to the subs I chose, and the amps pushing them. Overcame the reduced SPL of the enclosure with more power.

aperiodic gives the impression of a large sealed enclosure, by using a smaller sealed enclosure with a resistive membrane used to increase driver control. downside is reduced output. upside is better more accurate sound.
