i noticed for many subs online (such as woofersect.com) you can choose between 2ohm and 4ohm. what should i choose, i know 2ohm takes a less powered amp which = less money, so why does everyone get 4ohm. Are they better?
The wiring options. If you have a dvc 4 ohm sub, it can be wired to 2 or 8 ohms, 2 being the average impedence that most people run. If you have a dvc 2 ohm sub, it can be wired to 1 or 4 ohms.
Depends on your amp, if it's stable at 2 ohms and mono, than you'd want to the 4 ohm. What are you trying to install? We could give you better diections if we know what we're dealing with.
