SQ = Sound Quality. Acuracy would be another term.
SPL = Sound Pressure Level. Volume, or how loud it gets.

People into having the loudest car they can build compete for SPL.
People who go for the best sounding car compete for SQ.

I have a infinity kappa perfect 10 dvq, with the variable q's. Right now the subs are in a .5cuft box with the midq inserts. If i were to put in the lowq inserts, i would get more spl i know, but would my sq go down? Thanks

Yeah, it's a 0.5 cuft box if that might change your thoughts.
