I ordered a 10" L7, I need to find a box for it online, since I believe myself incapable of building a 100% airtight box. I want to find the smallest box possible and also perfect square so I can place it so that the sub fires up.

I found a few on e-bay but they seem cheap.

Im open to opinions, Im trying to save as much room as possible in my trunk. I went with KX600.1 amp and as of right now I have abandoned plans to replace the stock speakers. So I can spend some extra money on an enclosure.

P.S. I think im going to run a Batcap 300 cap on this setup. Stock head unit until the Alpine 9855 arrives.

Remember opinions are welcome.

you dont need a batcap to run that amp...as for building a 100% airtight box....thats why they make silicone :-)

Hey, Im getting a scion tc in about a week, how are the stock speakers? I plan on throwing 2 12" kicker L7's with a kicker kx 1200.1. and leaving stock speakers I hope there decently loud? heres a site for really good boxes http://proboxrocks.com/superbass/110SQSPB.shtml

The stock speakers are pretty nice not amazing but good. The fronts are approx 6.5 and they are components, the rears are approx 5.25 and they are are coxials. On the stock head unit change the SSP setting to xA rather than tC and from Neutral to Feel.

I was looking for a Small Sealed box not a larger vented box. Trying to keep trunk space at a surplus thats one of the main reason for not getting aftermarket components.

Matthew if you are going to get 2 SPL subs like those, you are going to NEED better speakers. You can get decent component sets for cheap, something like some Infinity 6000CS.

Adam, any box that has over .66 cu ft and is sealed would do just fine. It doesn't matter if the box is angled or not. The one from www.cardomain.com is more than fine.

I would take an Alpine over a Clarion. I would get an amp for the speakers. You'll be able to mount the midbass in the stock location, but you might have to do some cutting for the tweet. Do you have a budget to work with?

If you have more money you may want to get a better set of components. CDT, Boston or Infinity are nicely priced and would be a great addition. The reference ones I mentioned are the low end of the comps for Infinity/ if you have more money, look into the Kappas.
