so if i drive a tweeter rated at 50w rms with like 300 watts, it will definately blow, right? even if the signal from the amp is clean? or does it depend on the type of tweeter? i have piezo tweeters.

most will prob blow, if its a good, underrated brand then they might last for a while. keeping the signal clean and crossed over will definitally make a difference. but 300 watts is a lot for a tweeter, lol

If you were to give the full 300 watts, definately. If you're referring to driving it with a 300 watt amp, if you stay away from full volume, it could be ok if you're careful. For every 3 db, twice the power is utilized. So starting at full volume, every time you cut the system by 3db, you are cutting the power in half approximately.
