I got a Rockford 1001BD and a 1 farad capacitor. In the Rockford book, http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/scripts/rightnow.cfg/php.exe/enduser/fattach_get. php?p_sid=tZNiPPBh&p_tbl=9&p_id=280&p_created=1083254498 it says to install the amp on one +12v line and the capacitor on a different +12v line. This sounded wrond so I looked online and found this site, http://www.caraudiohelp.com/car_audio_capacitor_installation/car_audio_capacitor _installation.htm. It says to use one line going through the capacitor to the amp, which seems to make more sense then what Rockford is telling me. Which way is correct?

ok, where rockford says to use a dist block for the positive and ground, you can just use the cap as the dist block. fun your positive from the battery to the cap, then from the cap to the amp. run a ground from the cap to the chassis. run a ground from the amp to the chassis. they just want you to buy more stuff prob. the second link will work fine
