I am gonna buy a Resonant Engineering 15" MT. I want to use Hifonics amps for sure but am not sure what size. I want the sub mostly for comps. Would 2 BX1605Ds be too much or should I use 2 BX1205Ds. I want to put it in a 6 cu. ft. ported box with 2 of either the BX1605Ds or the BX1205ds with a 5 farad Alumapro capacitor and a 200 amp alt. This is all in a 1988 GMC s15 Jimmy. Would that setup be good enough to win comps? The sub will be dual 1.4 ohms with one amp to each VC.

For comps seen MT's hold up to 10,000watt rms for burps. And with those hifoncis ampsthere rated at 1600 watt rms so if you get 2 that would be 3200watt rms and Around 2000-3000watt rms is recomended for daily driving, so 3200 should'nt hurt a bit.
