Because every car audio man tells me that 10 inch subs are more for jazz and pop listeners and bigger subs are more for rap.I listen to rap and r@b more.Can the jl 10w7 achieve the same amount deepness of a 12inch and 15inch sub. |

Gold Member Username: Jonathan_fGA USA Post Number: 3544 Registered: May-04 | If you put it in a ported box and tune it low, it will sound as deep or deeper than a 12" or 13" sealed because it is so authoritative. Other than that, apples to apples, the 12W7 and 13W7 will get a little deeper than the 10W7. |

Gold Member Username: Jonathan_fGA USA Post Number: 3546 Registered: May-04 | The 500/1 is a good match for the 10W7 or the 12W7. You'll push the 10W7 to it's potential more easily with the 500/1, but the 12W7 will get louder with the same amp and still perform very well with the amp. |

The guy at the shop said that the 12w7 sounded alot better with the 1000/1 cause they had a customer with mysetup upgrade to a 1000/1 with a 12w7 from a 500/1. |

Just my personal preference as far as 12" over 10", you'll notice a bit more depth and punch with the 12", but it's not drastic. SPL of the 12" is higher. |

Wedge Box will be very loud and clear and more boomy then my 2 12w6v2's i currenty own and alot nicer to my electrical system. |
