Remote Power Switch

Is there any way to bypass the remote turn on switch and actually turn on an amp that is not connected to a car stereo?
It is an older Rockford Fosgate punch amp.

do you just want to see if the amp powers up?

Yes, what would work to turn it on? I am doing work in the basement and have an extra battery, just no way to send a signal to the amp to turn it on. Any ideas?

well if you can go out to a car bring that extra battery hook up the pos and neg to the battery and run a wire from your fuse box (radio or Cigarette lighter fuse) to the remte wire. If you need to stay inside just hook up a remote wire and pos to the pos on the battery and the ground to neg on the battery and your amp will power up.
