I have 100 X 4 RMS 4- channel amp and it is tri-way capable, using this tri-way capability can i power a moderate subwoofer (100 RMS), my front speakers are only 60 RMS, can i draw some power from front-channels.

Goal: is to power all 4-speakers and a little sub-woofer

Thanks

Yes you can. 4 channel amp can be used as 5 way. 2 channels for the front, 2 for the rear, and rear channel bridged for the sub. All you'll need is couple of capacitors for the rears and a coil for the sub.

Issac, Thanks for the reply

What is a coil?

Can i use a tri-way crossover instead of capacitors and coil such as the following one

Yes you can use that device. It's the same as getting 2 capacitors for the rears and a coil (used to filter out high freq for the sub).
