I have a dual 4-ohm 12" Type-R subwoofer, and I was wondering if the extra 50W from an MRD-M350 Alpine amplifier would be too much for it to handle. Thanks

Thanks for your help. 500W?? Well, do you think that amplifier would be a good choice? What would you reccomend??

If you wire it to 2 ohm's, you will git the 350 watt's. Perfect for that sub.

I have (2) 2omh DVC 10" type R's (have them wired to 1ohm) and I'm putting 450 into each and they sound excellent. They will definately handle more power than stated (possibly why the 2005's look exactly (except color)like the 2004's but say they can handle 500 instead of 300rms))

i was just about to buy a 10'' type r and the m350 amp

should i spend a little more for the newer m301?
the power is the same but the newer one has some other qualities that im not sure of.

also, does the 12'' handle more power than the 10''?

Uhh, no the 12's and the 10's are the same power handeling. I'm pretty sure the 15" can handle more though, 750 rms I think
