my problem started a few months ago when the motorized flap wont slide down ! the simplest thing i used to do was to open the unit up and just give a gentle push to the gears on the right.. which control the motion of the flap. it would then slide down. now.. this has become annoying as it gets stuck almost all the time. armed with a philip screwdriver i am not very happy.
what could be the problem ? i read before that the white cable that runs beneath gave a problem, but once i push the gears the flap moves with that 'open' button with no problems untill next start.
sorry, the model is still not right. If it has the dual flap face then the ribbon cable is wearing out. Common problem on those decks. Pioneer has a new design to fix those.
