i have a boss audio amp (i know its not a good amp)
but i want to know, since they overrate their stuff,
how many watts do you think it actually is. i want to
know how many watts it is at 2 ohms ( i know its not
actually 800 rms, its less, but around how much is it?)

here is the amp

The best way to know is to look at the fuses on the amp. Try simple math, fuse size x 12v. That'll give you some idea what the power will be.
Lot of cheap amps will say 1000W, but you'll find out that the amp will blow before reaching the max power, and it'll take your sub with it.
The first sign of distortion, turn the volume down. Don't assume the amp will put out clean power. It's distortion/clipping that kills subs not clean power.
For cheap amps, you could try Audiobahn Intake models. They actually work well for $120 amp.

my amp has 2 25 fuse's, and so i would multiply
12 x 50, so its probably 600 watts at 2 ohms then?

Yea, that's an estimate.

a better way to estimate and a more accurate way is the take the fuses that you got ( two 25 fuse's) find 80% of that than multiply by 10. this works for all amplifiers. so for yours its 80% of 50 which is 40 then multiply by 10. so your amp is prob. doing 400 rms.
