I was wondering what would be louder in a Accord coupe. The first system is (three 12 inch w7's, with one 1000/1 JL amp powering two of them, and a 500/1 JL amp powering the third)? Or (two 13 w7's with two JL 1000/1 amp's powering them)? I am seking opinions from anyone who knows anything about JL subs!!1 THANK YOU
3 12w7 should be louder, more cone area over the 2 13W7s. Mu question is why one 1000/1, and one 500/1? I would go with three 500/1 and be done with it. Remember those #s aren't exact. Even though Jl is rated to put out the same power at 1.5 to 4 ohms there will be some fluxuation. Especially with the 1000/1 at 1.5 ohm and the 500/1 at 3 ohm. In a situation your talking about that flux could make a big diffrence in SQ and SPL especially if you get any cancelation.
