New deck causing distortion can any1 give me advice

hi i just got new deck n got one type r in the back when i turn the music to bout 65ish % the fronts start distorting does this mean i need new speakers or my deck is the problem i played roun wit it couldnt fix it, b4 wit stock deck it was fine...

Is your front speakers stock or did you replace them? If it's stock, it will only handle 20W the most. Some of them are even 10W. Your deck is probably putting out 15-20W rms. Most stock will distort around 65% or higher.

If you replace the speakers they will not destort as much except if you turn the deck up past 80% volume. At this point the deck is just working way to hard and an amp is needed to power the speakers!

how much watts do you think the amp should at least be to power the speakers?

For front or rear, 75W rms - 125W rms. That should be enough to give you excellent sound quality.

Yes, 75W - 125W per channel. That's enough power to pump any speaker you can find. Most component speakers are rated around that range anyways.
