Playing sound from portable dvd player in car stereo

im trying to get the sound from my portable dvd player to play in my car stereo i bought a fm transmitter but its not strong enough because it doesnt sound good if you have any ideas please send them to me
you need an fm modulator instead of the fm transmitter.

I was wondering about this too. I bought a fm modulator for my ipod and playstation to be played through my car. The volume has to be turned up way to loud to hear the sound. Is there a better way to directly hook up these through a headphone jack connected directly to the back of a HU? Thanks
I don't know what kind of head unit you have, but usually higher end aftermarket hu's have aux imputs with you could plug in you laptop or ps2 or xbox, etc. Make sure to check if you do infact have an aux imput before you start ripping stuff apart.
