i have the chance to buy two pioneer impp 12 inch sub's at a really good price. Wanted to get some input on their performance as a budget sub. And if anyone can tell me whether they are 2-ohm stable because my amp is.Any advice will be appreciated
Whether or not you can wire them to 2 ohms depends on what the voice coil config is. Are they single 2 ohm , single 4 ohm, dual 2 ohm or dual 4 ohm? Since you havent order them yet you will probably be able to choose which you want when buying. To answer you r question simplisticly: yes should be able to wire them to 2 ohms, but check here before buying on which voice coil configuration you should get.
If you want to wire a sub into a 2 ohm load, you either need a 2 ohm SVC sub or a 4 ohm DVC sub (or 1 ohm DVC sub, just won't come across many subs in that config without special ordering)
