My cousin from New York gave me his "old" Pioneer AVH-P6500DVD for a very soft price. I had it installed in my car, but I can't play any of the dvd's on it. It has something to do with the wrong region. Is it possible to set it to the right region. I live in the Netherlands. Maybe at a pioneer shop or something.

I europe they use a different type of dvd compression and video frame rate. PAL vs NTSC. So your DVD will not work on that unit. I pretty sure they is noting you can do about it.
