I switched my amp today from a zapco reference 500.1 to a rockford 801s powering my 2 jl audio 12w6v2's and all of a sudden there is this noise in the speakers. when i step on the gas the noise gets louder it sounds like a winding noise or a hissing. someone suggested that it was alternator noise? is this possible can i fix it?
But i had my previous 2 amps and sub set ups done with the same wire paths and it never had this problem? i guess ill try to move them. anyone else know anything about possible alternator noise being created in the speakers?
