Fuse problem

the wire that goes from my amp to the car battery has a fuse on it and keeps blowin from time to time my amps a mrp-m350 alpine is there anything i can do apart from buyin a shed load of fuses??

Yea you can buy a proper sized fuse. Take your amp's rms power rating divided by 12v and it'll give you the fuse's approximate size.
Normally the fuse is 60A but if you're sure that there's nothing wrong with the amp/wire shorts then go one higher like 70A.

i dont understand ive got 2 yellow fuses in the amp they are 20amp and the one thats near ma battery is 30 am if thats any help thank isaac

Hey Martyn, there's your problem. Two yellow fuses add up to 40A. And you said your main fuse is 30A. Put in 40A and it shouldn't blow.

so the fuses in the amp have got to be smalled than the one thats near ma battery? if so thanks isaaac u a star. :-)

Very close, the fuse near the battery has to be greater than or equal to the total fuses in the amp.
