Fuse problem

martyn New member Username: Martscorsa ManchesterEngland Post Number: 7 Registered: Nov-04	Posted on Monday, November 22, 2004 - 20:38 GMT the wire that goes from my amp to the car battery has a fuse on it and keeps blowin from time to time my amps a mrp-m350 alpine is there anything i can do apart from buyin a shed load of fuses??

Take your amp's rms power rating divided by 12v and it'll give you the fuse's approximate size. Normally the fuse is 60A but if you're sure that there's nothing wrong with the amp/wire shorts then go one higher like 70A.

Isaac Silver Member Username: Carguy Post Number: 318 Registered: Nov-04	Posted on Monday, November 22, 2004 - 21:22 GMT Hey Martyn, there's your problem. Two yellow fuses add up to 40A. And you said your main fuse is 30A. Put in 40A and it shouldn't blow.
