Two 10" or one 12"?

I want to add bass to the stock system in my '95 BMW 540i. I'm not sure whether to add one 12" sub or two 10" subs. The music I listen to is about 50% rap, 30% rock, and 10% jazz/classical. I'd like decent SQ but also decent SPL; I don't need people to hear me down the street, but I'd like it to be loud enough if I have the windows down on the freeway.

The current sub/amp combo I'm looking at is:

JL 12w0 (125W RMS @ 4 ohm)
JBL BP-300.1 (150W x 1 @ 4 ohm)

My budget is about $400-$500 including sub(s), amp, enclosure, and wiring. Do you guys have any suggestions? Thanks.

I've noticed that you guys seem to like the Adire Shiva a lot as well, and it's similar in price to the JL 12w0. Would this be a better choice for a system with one 12"? Would it be better than a system with two 10"?

Depends on the sub. You can probably get an 8in thats better then a 15in. Depends on they sound you want the quaility of subs you get. Try looking http://massiveaudio.com/. Also consiter what kind of trunk space you want to take up.
