okay, i know you dont have to run a 13w7 on a jl 1000/1 amp because ive seen it done with zapco and other amps... but the 13w7 has dual 1.5 ohm coils... does this mean that you just put any amp into it it will push it just fine at the 1.5 ohms? no right? i mean say for instance you have a 1000watt amp at 2 ohms.. when you connect it to the sub will it push like 1250 at the 1.5 ohms? or will it put 1000 at 2 ohms?and if so is this bad for the subwoofer? because the jl amp has 1000 watts from 1.5-3 ohms or maybe its to 4 but thats not important.... well i just wanted to know what would happen anyone that knows there stuff feel free to answer thanks alot guys.

Hey if the amp can handle 1.5 ohms then it'll be fine. However if the amp says 2ohms and you connect 1.5ohms, there's a chance the amp might overheat or distort and shut down. If you had 1 ohm stable amp, it'll be fine too. Just keep this im mind, as long as you're within the safe ohm range of the amp, it'll function properly.
