I bought a 2005 cavalier and I don't want to take the factory cd player out I was told that I can by a speaker to RCA hook up and connect it to my rear deck speakers run it to my amp hook the power cord up run my remote wire from the remote slot on the amp to the power slot on the amp and go from amp to subs will that work.

Hey Daniel, yes it'll work. Almost every amp comes with that kit (speaker input to rca). If you're not too fussy with quality at high volumes then it's ok. I personally prefer to use the rca. If you're lucky, your factory HU might have a rca output connector, use that instead.
