ya there loud, but they where designed to be loud enough(or enough for me) but thay are amazing SQ subs, there designed to be a SQ sub but still get loud with keeping sound quality. mine hit over 150.3DB in my grand cherokee in a ported box just to give you a example....its a 15" brahma

Dont get me wrong a stroker is a nice sub, but thats old and i mean old school sub to me. I got a 15" brahma MK II heres the website i got mine... http://acoustic-visions.com/~acoustic/products/subwoofer_drivers/adire_brahma/ if you are only going to get one sub your best bet would be the 12" becasue the encloser for the 15" is going to be big, thats if you go ported. but i would allways go ported, just sounds better (IMO). for a 12" i would recomend a 2.5CuFt tuned to 30 HZ. power it with a 800-1000watt mono amp. i got a BX1000d hifonics for my sub. just for a example.
