I just bought a MTX T688 which is 8 Ohms, But I also have another sub which is 4 Ohms. What is the difference between 4 and 8 ohms?

i thought it was clever:-)
hey xx, your amp puts out as much power as the woof tells it to, the lower the ohm, the more power it puts out. if a amp is rated at 1000watts at 2 ohms, then with a 4ohm sub it should do 500, and a 8 it should do 250, and so on.
