as you know i have been following your advice for sometime and for my final component related decision im thinking

about getting the eclipse 33230 amp (310W x 2 Channel Max. Power Output at 2) which i can get new for 220

and infinity 6.1 perfect components

My question is, the jbl amp is prob much cheaper but will the eclipse be noticeably "better"

and my 2nd ? is when deciding on component sets under like 300 im fairly sure you favor the XR's and the 6.1's but which of those two do you like better and which would be a better match with the amp I decide on

I personally like the XRs, they aren't quite as bright and give better midbass IMO. CDT HDs are also fantastic, I'd have to lean toward those for the $300 range(only find them for that on ebay, etc, though). Perfects and XRs will both work very well with that Eclipse amp, personally I think you could notice a difference, the power supply of the Eclipse is better, it has more dynamic range b/c of components and materials used. You'd especially notice a difference when it gets loud(verge of clipping).

thx i think im going to go with some new XR's because they have the less clinical sound, what is the difference between these 3 amps?

33250 - Eclipse 2 Ch 620 Watt Amplifier

they are all 620 W 2 channels but im not sure which if any would be optimal for the xr components

Not a lot really, just go with the 33230, you'll be happy with it. Power rating is the same.
