NEED HELP What Amp to Power Speakers??

hello all, just got a boschmann 4way 6x9 today...the box says 300Watts, but apparently I have not noticed wether its RMS or MAX. should I power it with my active sub built in Amp? its only 100RMS/300MAX...would that affect the subs performance?
